There is no need for special historical stone house research while designing and applying the landscape designs of today’s architectural structures. However, before designing historical buildings, it is absolutely necessary to conduct past researches. The purpose of the historical building, the time of construction, the previous restoration, maintenance and repair etc. studies should be examined. After the historical process research is finished, the design phase should be started. Design should be made by establishing a connection between the purpose of use today and in the future, together with the review of the past period.
In the sample study; in traditional Turkish architectural style, 18th-19th centuries. There is a historical house garden built in the 19th century. The current use of the historical house and garden; It is a place where ancient memories are kept alive. Both the interior and exterior structure of this area, which has the characteristics of a museum, has been used as an exhibition area. The garden walls were built in the same period as the house.
As mentioned before, the place and importance of the historical house in the historical process has been researched and evaluations have been made in accordance with its current use. As a result of these evaluations;
• The structures built together with the historical house have been restored.
• The outdoor exhibition area was removed and used indoors.
• Existing mature trees have been preserved.
• Walkways are designed to integrate with green areas.
• Seating units are included.
• Garden equipment belonging to the period has been positioned.
• Herbal design and applications were made.
