Not every plant you use in your garden has a function or purpose, but ivy plants are not. As can be understood from the root of the word ivy, it means to wrap an object, to cover, to close. Therefore, pay attention to these points so that ivy planting can achieve its purpose.
• Decide where the ivy should wrap, ie the structural material
• Determine the area that can be planted close to the area you want to wrap
• Open the appropriate planting pit according to the type of ivy and the structure of the pot.
• Place the plant in the planting pit with the shoots of the ivy oriented towards the structural material and complete planting
• Separate the branches of the vines from the existing staves or bamboos so as not to damage the plant.
• Connect the branches of the vines with the material you want to extend or be directed. Try not to damage the structural material and plant at this stage.
• Use flexible tether for attachment between ivy branches and material
• Do not pinch the ivy branch while tying because the tying thread will not cut the plant over time.
• Do not neglect the plant’s vital water when planting processes are completed.
